Phoenix Mountains Park
For some excellent exercise during your trip to Phoenix take the one or two hour hike up to the top of Piestewa Peak, set right in the middle of Phoenix in Mountains Park. The peak offers a fantastic 360º view of the city and surrounding landscape.

Camelback Mountain
Camelback Mountain is a very popular hiking destination. The view from the top is excellent. Get there by either the Macdonald/Tatum entry at Echo Canyon or the East entry Invergorden/Jackrabbit.
Montezuma Castle National Monument
Book a cheap rental car online and make the short drive down the I-17 between Phoenix and Flagstaff to this interesting national monument. Located near Camp Verde, this is an exceptionally beautiful area of Arizona.
