The Bridge of Sighs
A local legend says that lovers will be granted everlasting love and bliss if the kiss on a gondola at sunset under the bridge. Built between 1428 and 1430 for the Contarini family, its principal façade facing onto the Grand Canal is built in the Bon's Venetian Floral gothic style, utilizing lots of ornate designs in repetition. Many call this a 'wedding cake' exterior.

Museo di Storia Naturale di Venezia
