Visit the southeast in Costa Rica

Coming from San Jose, headed to the southeast, on the Florencio del Castillo motorway you can reach the city of Cartago, this city was once capital of the country, and here you will find the church called Iglesia de los Angeles dedicated to the Virgin with the same name. If you continue southeast, you’ll reach Paraiso, known for having attractive sites such as the Orosi.

Following the same route, you will get to Cervantes, don’t miss the Posada de la Luna restaurant where you can try a great variety of traditional dishes, as well as admire some of the different ancient items giving you a glance of the Costa Rican past. This path leads you to Turrialba offering a nice scenario of sugar canes crops.
