Villa de Firgas, in Gran Canaria
In Palmas de Gran Canaria, there’s this picturesque town named, Villa de Firgas. The place is known mostly for its famous medicinal waters based on minerals born in the Barranco de Las Madres. If you are in the interior, don’t miss coming here in your Gran Canaria car hire.
Firgas has an Old Quarter which is worth a nice tour, visit the Church of San Roque, built on the ruins of what it was the San Juan Ortega Chapel, dating back from the 1502. Firgas is also known for the manufacture of precious pieces of handcraft in wood.
Close to Firgas you’ll find another nice place, Villa de Moya, a great option to finish the daytrip in the area.
