More than 75% of the island's territory is protected either as European Biological Reserve or Enesco Biosphere Reserve.

Soak up some surf and sun at the largest beach on the island. There is plenty of room here to set up a nice family-sized space even during the peak season. Its 2.5 km stretch makes for an enjoyable beach walk or jog during your visit.
