Snow Driving Tips from a Professional Skier

I imagine right now a great many of our readers are gearing up for their winter holiday plans by car rental.  Ski holidays are super popular and a great way to enjoy your winter break with family or friends, but here at CarHireX.com we would like to stress the importance of being prepared for winter driving conditions in your car rental.  But you don't have to take my world for it!  Here is a short video about snow driving safety featuring professional skier Chemmy Alcott.

Chemmy is the highest ranked female British skier ever.  She was the number one British woman skier for seven years, was the only female from Britain to make it to the World Cup.  She has been skiing since she was 18 month old and has plenty of time to learn a thing or two about how to get to and from the slopes safely.

In the video Chemmy discusses the importance of checking key factors on your car rental before you get out on the road, including the tread of the tires, tire pressure, fluids, and knocking off all snow and ice.  She also suggests keeping some food, extra water, and a change of clothes in your car hire in case of emergencies.

Most importantly, although it can be tempting to get to your winter holiday fun as quickly as possible, driving in winter weather conditions requires you to be much slower and more cautious.  Once you're prepared for driving in the snow, we can get you out on a Winter Ski Holiday with your ideal snow season car rental through our fast and easy booking engine on CarHIreX.com.
