Lyon's division
Lyon’s beauty is in great part due to its geography. Two rivers flow along these lands, the Rhone and the Rodano and the ****Saône, and Lyon is crowned by two hills: Croix Rouge and Furvière.
These rivers divide the city in three areas, the outskirts is a mostly residential and industrial area, called presqu-île (which means almost island) and here you’ll encounter the famous Bellecour square, and the most commercial area and the Old Quarter where most monuments stand like the Church of Fuviere, the Roman Theatre and the Roman Museum.
